Sold out is not the end. Here is how returned spots work and how to catch one.
Every HYROX race is sold through an official ticket shop per region. Once a ticket type (say Doubles Mixed on Saturday) shows sold out, three things keep putting spots back:
Paying strangers in Facebook groups or chats is how most people lose money. Only use the official shop and, where offered, its official transfer feature.
Yes, regularly. Tickets return when athletes cancel or transfer, when payment reservations expire, and when the organiser releases held or extra spots. There is usually no announcement, and a returned spot can be gone within minutes.
Some sold-out event pages offer a notification list run by the ticketing provider; it depends on the race and region. It costs nothing to join, but it does not reserve anything: you still need to be fast when spots appear.
Be careful. HYROX tickets are personal and transfers go through the official ticketing provider, where offered. Facebook groups and unofficial resellers are where most ticket scams happen; never pay a stranger up front.
Popular races and categories (Doubles, Pro) can sell out in minutes at launch and returned spots often go within the hour. An alert the moment a spot appears is the difference.
